What Do You Think Of When You Describe Bellevue?

Posted by Larry Cragun No Comments »

What was it like when you arrived? What would you tell another about Bellevue?

Not a lot would say forests. That is unless you live in Bridle Trails. My first journey to Bellevue was long long ago. Bridle Trails had the featured home of the week for the Seattle Times. What do I remember? 1- Lenny WIlkens lived there. 2- The site agent had a goal to be a millionaire. I wonder if he made it. 3- I couldn’t afford the home of the week, but just the thought of it should have made me start a Street of Dreams. Oh, where was my thinking cap? Love those Street of Dreams, especially those many that Kathleen was a designer for. Do you remember the Castle Home, the one with all of the Chihuly glass throughout. That was hers. 4- The riding trails 5- I was a young landscape sales manager. We landscaped a cool contemporary home. The owner was a rich insurance agent. He must have been, the home cost a whopping $175,000 to build and our landscape project came to $3,000.00 Those were the days, right?

So now I am a techie agent. Am I? Some think so. Lar

A Thought On Bellevue Shopping From An Issaquah Blogger

Posted by Larry Cragun 1 Comment »

Kathleen writes the bulk of the non real estate content on IssaquahUndressed.com.  Bellevue, WA 98005,98005. This is the closest big city to Issaquah, WA 98027. Not near as big as Seattle of course, but Bellevue has some good shopping. Here are just a few pictures of Downtown Bellevue.

Cranes and contruction are a common site in Bellevue these days.  Half of Bellevue has been torn down to make way for new and exciting projects. While that may seem sad, there wasn’t really anything fantastic that was lost to these new projects. Downtown condominiums are in high demand and many are trying to meet that demand.  The new additions to Bellevue Square Mall, Lincoln Square and Bellevue Place are enticing and exciting. I would love to live in the condo’s at Lincoln Square. But the Mall would just be too enticing, not to mention the prices of the condos.  www.lincolnsquare.com , http://bellevueplace.com, http://bellevuesquare.com

A new skybridge will connect Lincoln Square to Bellevue Place.

The Westin Bellevue –  the top floors are condominiums One Lincoln Tower. There are some resales!

Bellevue’s Art Museum is reinventing itself.  Stay tuned.

One of Bellevue’s High Rise Condos -

Masin’s – the best place for quality furnishings and design service in Bellevue – I know I used to work there as a designer.  Kathleen

Whole Foods in Bellevue is a great place for lunch but they badly need more tables for the noon crowd. The choices are incredible and you pay by the weight.  It is easy to be in shock at the check stand! www.wholefoods.com
